Unfortunately it looks too much like Texas chainsaw with that face etc.

Too bad because with a different twist it could have been something.

The atmosphere is good in itself, but we all know it.

2.5 stars

I thought the beginning wasn't too bad, but I quickly started to hate both main characters because their acting talent wasn't really that great...

I thought the setting was beautiful, a remote country house, a forest and a kind of Indian cemetery..

but the effect was very disappointing... it was all quite cliché, and that is not a bad thing, but it must have been well executed... and that was quite lacking... also the 'ghoul', or 'Leonard' I didn't find it scary...I wasn't shocked once...in addition, the tension was lacking for me, despite the music, which I thought was quite well chosen...the plot was not special either and the actress 'crying' for her friend was actually quite laughable...because I didn't think she showed it well...

Too bad, because more could have been achieved...a 0.5 for the effort and the setting

Average slasher, but I didn't think it was as bad as is generally said here.

Treat Williams was flown in for exactly 3 minutes of screen time and Michael Berryman was also cast purely by name in a completely insignificant role purely to get some extra exposure as a film.

It all gets off to a bit of a slow start with an old house, some 'stalker' shots and fairly mediocre flashbacks to give it an origin story. Not all that special. The last half hour makes up for a lot. It's not very gory, but every now and then it has its moments (beheading while his girlfriend watches), and the fact that it wears human faces is a given (despite the fact that it is a hard Leatherface rip-off is) deliciously gruesome.

3.0*. Not bad for once, but at the same time a slasher that you will have forgotten tomorrow.
