Dawning plot

A brother and sister visit their father and stepmother at a lake cottage in northern Minnesota. The first evening unfolds in awkward conversations about small talk. Disaster strikes when the family's dog is found mortally wounded. Almost simultaneously, a stranger appears at the cottage and tells the family that he is coming to rescue them. But of what? They soon lose faith in each other, the stranger, and whatever may be out there in the dark.
