Lebenslang Ist Nicht Genug plot
Katja (Jennifer Nitsch) is happy with her second husband Thomas (Walter Sittler) and their daughters Yvonne (Julia Palmer-Stoll) and the apple of their eye Nina (Sophie Pflügler). One day, as always, Katja wants to pick up her youngest daughter from school, but is a bit late. However, she waits in vain for the child in front of the school. On the way back she hears on the radio the terrible news that Nina has been murdered. Police Commissioner Urban (Dietmar Bär) has several suspects in mind for the murder. But the investigation gets stuck on the questions: how conclusive is the alibi of Katja's ex-husband Mark (Ralph Schicha), what role does Yvonne's 16-year-old boyfriend play? Meanwhile, Katja, haunted by visions and nightmares, collapses as she blames herself for the death of her child. The once happy family is falling apart. When an anonymous phone call shows that Yvonne's life is also in danger, Katja herself starts the hunt for the perpetrator to prevent her older daughter from meeting the same fate as her youngest child.
