Zwischen den Feuern plot

Richard Leuthold (Walter Kreye) is the owner of a squash and tennis center. One day he meets young Thomas (Steffen Groth), who is about the age of his son, who has just committed suicide. He asks Thomas to be his bodyguard, and soon gives the boy an assignment that he is not happy with. Thomas sees a fellow sufferer in Richard's wife Elfi (Constanze Engelbrecht), and they soon begin a relationship. Richard finds out and decides not to take it.
