An Affirmative Act plot
A young married couple with a young child turns out to be not who they say they are when they are arrested and charged with various fraud cases. Terry and Samantha Succi don't even turn out to be husband and wife; it's two women. One is a feminist law professor and the other a boyish architect. They married as a heterosexual couple, adopted a child and did so because the law discriminates against homosexual marriages.
