Adieu Babylone plot

Pizza courier Anouk falls head over heels for Laurel, one of her teachers. When her attention becomes too much for him, he takes the first plane to Brazil. Once there, he decides to move on and travel overland from the Amazon to New York. The first night, however, he ends up dead drunk with a native "chica" in bed, who steals his money and his luggage, forcing him to continue his journey on his skates. Months later, he returns to Paris, emaciated and near a nervous breakdown. The impulsive Anouk then decides to complete the journey of her great love. Alternately roller skating or hitchhiking and armed with a video camera, she crosses Mexico.
