"Guidance is a film about ordinary people in extraordinary situations."

Roy and his wife Ylva are both in their fifties. Roy has been lethargic for a long time and suffers from depression. Ylva doesn't know what to do with him and prefers to just move on with her life. When she encounters the young Carl who claims to have a program that is tailor-made for her husband, she decides to take it.
