In the summer of 1910, Gustav Mahler asks for the advice of Sigmund Freud. The aging musical genius is suddenly dealt a blow: a love letter, addressed to him, but intended for his wife Alma. The sender, a certain Walter Gropius, describes Mahler's affair with Alma in great detail. Mahler collapses as a result: what does this young man know about him and his beloved Alma, about two people who have linked music forever?
