Wrecked plot
"When your mind is a mystery. You can survive the wilderness. But can you escape your past?"
A man regains consciousness in a car wreck in a ravine. He's injured, his legs are stuck and he doesn't know who he is or how he got there. There's only a rustling news on the radio about a violent bank robbery gone wrong, and in the back seat is a dead man who could well be one of the culprits. When the man moves outside the car, he must rely on his primal instincts and use whatever is in his environment to survive. Faced with overwhelming obstacles, both real and illusion, he must discover his true identity and accept the consequences that come with it.

News from nature
Sometimes a mediocre end product is not due to the actor but to the writers of the script. The latter is certainly the case with Wrecked, because Brody's believable play is about the only very positive point about the film.
An idea for a film was born, but then they didn't quite know what to do with the execution. The sequel is that the makers have started stretching. Which in turn results in you spending half an hour (literally!) watching a man heist himself from a wrecked car, wander through the woods, make campfires in the evening and chase predators away with a rock. That's about it, nothing happens in the movie at all. There is hardly any threat and if there is one, it ends with a faint sizzle. It really doesn't get exciting anywhere in the film. The denouement was liked, but could have easily been made into a 5 minute mini-movie. Now the whole thing feels like an unnecessary end product and a waste of your time. A walk through the woods is more fun, at least you can still breathe the fresh air yourself.

It's incomprehensible that people rate this film so poorly and give such a misplaced comment, is it really only rubbish from now that is appreciated...?
Brody's acting alone should impress you!
This guy is so great at playing these kinds of roles (Pianist, Experiment, Jacket).
A psycho/survival thriller is usually always like this story, a lot has happened but you actually get to see very little and everything comes bit by bit towards the viewer, in order to get into your mind and you as a viewer can create a plot. to think.
That's how it works with this genre, this has to be slow..!
The course (as read: long-winded, boring, unreal) of such a film can, in my opinion, never be a surprise.
The film itself isn't the best of its kind, but it's still very interesting to see how only "one actor" tells the story. I was also constantly curious about the course of the film.
Of course as a viewer you have several ideas about what could have happened if you have already seen some of these types of films, but in the end it turns out not to be as you (I) thought and everything is completely different and surprising.
Despite that, I unfortunately found the ending "too dull".
What I missed was the real "psychological blow" that makes such a film stay in your head for a long time and I would certainly have rated the film higher.
