The cowboy Bob Walker is a guide on the 'El Reposo Dude Ranch'. Bob wants to leave this holiday ranch with his friend Willy 'Persimmon' Bates, because they have bought a mine together. On their last day at work, their assignment consists of a fake robbery on a stagecoach carrying guests arriving for the holiday ranch. The stagecoach passengers are spoiled wealthy British heiress Pamela Barclay, her aunt Henrietta and Pamela's fiancée Hadley Thornton. The sneaky Hadley is only interested in Pamela because of her money. Hadley learns about the mine from Bob and Persimmon and he tries to get his hands on it for a low price. He lies to Bob that they need him at the mine. Then Hadley tries to convince Persimmon to sell his share of the mine to him. Pamela, who is now in love with Bob, finds out about her fiancé's plan and wants to warn Bob, but is taken hostage by Hadley.
