Bulletface plot
The story is set along the Mexico-California border. Female narcotics cop Dara Maren is arrested and imprisoned to protect her criminal younger brother. She ends up in a correctional facility outside Tijuana. While in prison, her brother is murdered by a drug lord who makes a drug that changes DNA. It is made from human spinal cord extracted from the living. Hundreds of dead bodies emerge along the border and the drug addicts become less human. An FBI agent bribes a custodian so that Dara is released to avenge her brother's death and deal with the drug lord, something the FBI fails to do. She is given 60 hours out of prison after which she must return to serve her 20-year sentence, or else the FBI agent who got her out has to take over.
