The Waiting City plot

An apparently happy Australian couple travels to Calcutta to pick up their adoptive son. Upon arrival, they find out that the agreement with the adoption agency is not yet fully completed. They have no choice but to wait in this busy Indian city. Soon the intoxicating and mystical power of Calcutta drives them apart, each in a different and unexpected direction, and the fragility of their marriage is painfully exposed.
