Rivalen am Abgrund plot

Philipp Gabert is a successful architect and happily married to the beautiful Julia. His great hobby is climbing mountains. When he climbs a mountain with his good friend Markus, Philipp tells his friend a big secret. Shortly afterwards, for inexplicable reasons, he loses consciousness and falls into the abyss. Markus returns home alone and tells the tragic news to Julia and family friend Nicolas. Nicolas, who has always had a soft spot for Philipp's wife, doesn't trust his story and investigates. Was it an accident or is there more to it?
