A Tragedy at Midnight plot
Couple Greg and Beth Sherman manage to solve crimes that have left the police stranded. Hobby private detective Greg uses his popular radio show to solve these crimes, but this makes him unpopular with the police. One day, Beth goes to the hospital to attend to her pregnant sister and Greg goes to a party. The next morning, Greg wants to wake Beth, but he finds an unknown dead woman with a knife in her back next to him, instead of his wife. While Greg is reeling from the shock, Beth returns from the hospital to find him with the dead woman. Beth thinks her husband has committed murder as well as adultery and she warns the police. Greg is on the run and now he must solve his own murder case.
