Watty Watts (Gil Bellows), cool, unpredictable and on the run from justice. His girlfriend Sharlene (Renee Zellweger), beautiful and free-spirited. A 'point 45' pistol is their only handhold. When blood spills during a robbery at a small supermarket, life takes a horrific turn. Fleeing a seething police force and sadistic junkies, the couple discover how little a human life is worth. The nerve-racking chase leaves a bloody trail across the country.

Nice Tarantino-esque movie
The film also seems to have borrowed heavily from the man's work... and it also features a lot of elements from Natural Born Killers. It's again very solid and familiarly cobbled together. A robbery goes wrong, which immediately sets off a chain reaction of problems, and Watty and his girlfriend have to flee. His girlfriend, Sherlene (nicely played by Zwelleger), is also completely unfazed by the fact that they have to flee from both the police and the mafia and sees the thrill in it.
This leads us to some hilarious moments and characters. That handicapped hippie, for example, Bob and Creepy (typical hitmen), and oh yeah... also moments where the voice gets really raised when discussing "we're screwed," "failed robbery," and "the police are after us" in places like restaurants and shops... as if those kinds of topics go in one ear and out the other with the customers. 
Furthermore, the film does have some beautiful images that are typical for this kind of themes

A decent film about a couple on the run after a deadly robbery. A typical '90s crime film. It's not very complex, but it's easy to watch. The characters are fairly overblown and entertaining (the cast plays them well).

For about half an hour, it's a decent film/story. But from the moment the sheriffs are killed in the trailer, it goes downhill. There's little story, and lots of cheesy scenes unnecessarily stretch the running time. It all adds up to nothing.
