Mediocre film with an unfunny Moore. The film was a big box office success at the time mainly due to the presence of Murphy who was a real hype at the time. However, Murphy's role is actually a supporting role. Below average comedy.

Not a great film, sometimes bordering on annoying, I have to agree, but there were some nice things in it, especially in the Dudley Moore part. The whole situation in which he gets the plans for a gyroscope for war tanks in his briefcase and the subsequent situations worked for the most part. In between there are also many sexual innuendos with his head of department Claire (actually a shameless promotion of adultery), and a crime plot with a KGB agentthat makes everything even more complicated. The Eddie Murphy part, on the other hand, can be called weak. You shouldn't expect much from him, it is mainly a Dudley Moore film. The only funny thing was that they scripted the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait here, which would actually happen seven years later.
