Atmospheric and entertaining resistance and espionage thriller, which after a spectacular start becomes increasingly exciting. In addition to the design of the settings, the excellent camera work stands out. Furthermore, the cast acts strongly, especially Xun Zhou and Bingbing Li.

Unfortunately I was wrong in guessing who the mole was. But hey, you can't have everything.

I'm not really into interrogation films like this one, with a fair amount of torture thrown in for good measure.

Atmospheric and interesting because of the events in the Sino-Japanese war, the puppet government...and of course with the necessary suspense.

Towards the end some emotion does get mixed into the plot and that is, in my opinion, the best part of the film.

Not a single actor stands out.

Exciting spy film in China during the Second World War, with a few firm twists as it should be. Very excellent, because although most of the film takes place in a kind of castle, there is no question of long-windedness. Just like in a game of Cluedo, you can also guess who the mole is. The conscientious Japanese officer who leads the trap also does not shy away from using torture to unmask the enemy. For those who are in the mood for a strong spy story that you can watch in one go, will undoubtedly find something to their liking here; I certainly do not regret it.
