Dokuro plot
In the 17th century, the Tokugawa Shogunate issued anti-Christian decrees, and its escalating oppression sparked a rebellion among the Christian nobility. Crucified by the edicts of the Shogunate, the Christian lords challenged the Shogun's secular authority. Civil war was inevitable and although the Christian rebels were heavily outnumbered, they fought with fire and passion, convinced in the Lord's faith. Reinosuke Ushio (Utaemon Ichikawa) is one of those leaders. He bids farewell to his wife-to-be, the lovely Osetsu, and his child, and goes to the front. However, the seductive and sensual noblewoman Senjuin wants to make Reinosuke her husband at all costs.
