Un Beau Monstre plot
A young woman sees her neighbor commit suicide and exonerates the husband on suspicion of murder. She herself marries the widower and then experiences his businesslike urge to destroy, which also brings her ever closer to suicide, without the police being able to intervene because there are no criminal offenses or concrete evidence.
