Ji Dao Zhui Zong plot
Three Hong Kong Chinese study in Japan. The first is a diligent student, the second is not and is recruited by the yakuza and the third, Ben Li (Andy Lau), alternates diligent study with many side jobs. The latter falls in love with Chung, also Chinese, a student by day and a waitress by night. Chung isn't interested in Ben, but has an affair with a renegade yakuza. He has incriminating information about his former gang and asks Chung to pass it on if something happens to him. He is murdered and through Chung the three students get into the greatest possible trouble.
