Haeundae plot
"There is No Escape from Nature's Wrath."
Haeundae is a popular beach resort on Korea's southeast coast, which attracts a million tourists to its beaches every year. Man-sik, a resident of Haeundae, lost a colleague to a tsunami during a fishing trip four years ago. Now he runs a small sushi bar and wants to propose to his girlfriend Yeon-hee. At the same time, Kim-hwi, an expert in tsunami research, discovers signs of seismic activity similar to those in the Indian Ocean just before the 2004 tsunami. Since his warnings are ignored by the authorities, he himself heads to Haeundae to meet the bathers there. to warn of the super-tsunami approaching with deadly speed.
