No, I didn't watch it in one sitting, but I certainly didn't expect this. The tragedy, the humor and the slightly present magic evoked the same feelings in me as when reading One Hundred Years of Solitude.

Favorite moment: the battling taxi driver and coachman during the epilogue.

Where drama, ballet and film come together.

A joy to watch, all 4 stories and epilogue in a row.

Some images of architecture and landscape in Sicily that are breathtaking, so beautiful.

And then there's that score (the soundtrack), magical. Fabulously BEAUTIFUL.

Look guys, look. Please.

Kaos is an Italian film adaptation of five stories by the Italian writer Luigi Pirandello from the 19th century, all set in Sicily.

The film starts with a number of men who have a raven. This raven gets a bell tied around the neck, and the statue of this raven connects the five parts. The parts are titled 'the other son', 'moon sick', 'the jug', 'requiem' and 'conversation with my mother'. Each part lasts about 35-40 minutes, and they all have their comedic and tragic sides.

I like the first story the best. The story is about a Sicilian widow whose two sons emigrated to the United States fourteen years ago. Although she is illiterate, she occasionally sends a letter to her sons, but never heard from them. However, there is a third son, who is just nearby. However, she does not want to know anything about him. There appears to be a secret behind it, which is revealed in flashbacks.

Despite the length of no less than 188 minutes, I watched the film in one sitting. There is also enough going on to keep the film interesting. There are also beautiful images of Sicily, an enchanting soundtrack and many absurd moments. I like that. This is one I would like to see again in the future. 4*
