Unwatchable. That applies to 50 Cent, of course, but Dyer and Hassan also fail to get the film cool anywhere. A tame performance from both gentlemen and a lackluster plot quickly characterize the film. Any moments that seem to pick up are expertly killed off. When the colossus appears on screen, you hope for something spectacular, but the fight that follows is mostly disappointing. Just like so much else, it turns out to be particularly meager.
Nick's mother is actually the most enjoyable part, but even that is wrapped up in a corny manner. Meanwhile, the scenario gets crazier and crazier, with the explanatory flashbacks in particular being too terrible for words. It is probably all meant to be flashy, but De Rakoff makes a particularly poor impression. A decent track pops up every now and then, and apparently you can ski in Dubai, but crude, cool, and/or funny is asking too much.

Nice actors, a touch of humor, and a brisk pace. The twist at the end wasn't really surprising. 6/10

Well, that was another one.
One of the few films where I really couldn't bring myself to sit through the entire running time.
And in this case, I realized very quickly that I could spend my time better differently.
What amateurish junk. The local amateur theater group acts better. The attempts at tongue-in-cheek humor are painfully unfunny. The pacing is an absolute disaster. And the sound seems to have been recorded with a handycam mic.
A Temu Guy Ritchie rip-off by incompetent filmmakers.
