Superstition plot

Julie is a 19 year old British au pair in Italy. There are tensions in the family where she works, not least because the husband is attracted to Julie. A series of unusual fires break out and Julie is charged with murdering the baby who died in one of the fires. It seems that Julie has certain telepathic abilities that she cannot control. Her young lawyer Gabrieli fights for her in court and against public opinion and the press in Italy, who see her as a witch.
