Tell-Tale plot

Based on Edgar Allan Poe's classic story. Terry is a single father who recently received a donor heart. He manages to find out the name of his donor and discovers that he died horribly in a failed burglary. In addition, Terry sees flashes of his donor's death and begins to have severe palpitations when seeing certain people. He discovers that his life is in grave danger and must search for his donor's killers before ending up the same way as the previous owner of his heart.

Definitely no palpitations

There's little tension to be found in Tell Tale. A simple, poorly thought-out story unfolds, which at times feels quite unrealistic.

After the first half hour, the film does become a bit more interesting and generates a bit more tension, but it doesn't really blow your mind or surprise you with its storyline. At the end, everything suddenly takes a rather dark turn. Something you as a viewer can either appreciate or dislike, but I personally found it quite enjoyable.

As for the rest, the story has just a few too many coincidences, the murders Terry go a bit too easily, and having a heart attack because you don't listen to your heart is a bit too simplistic and unrealistically developed for me. In short, it's fine to have as background information, but don't give it your full attention. It quickly becomes a lot less interesting. It didn't exactly make my heart beat faster.

2.0*

Mwah everything looked neat and well acted but the story is crap

somewhere I read something about E. A. Poe, yes my hula

shame and waste of effort, why are the scripts so shit

There are still plenty of good books that can be made into films.

2.5 for the effort

I'd had this one lying around for a while, and I decided to give it a try. I didn't have high expectations, but it was still worth seeing. The cast was excellent, and the short running time offered plenty of entertainment.

Not earth-shattering cinema, but still worth seeing.
