Shiranui Kengyô plot
Shiranui Kengyô is the highest rank that can be assigned to a blind person. It means as much as secretary of religious affairs. Shichinosuke comes from a poor family and was born blind. He is a masseur, and student of the Shiranui Kengyô. His name is now Suginoichi. He has been involved in criminal activities since childhood. One day, in the woods, he encounters a traveler who is suffering from cramps. He kills him and steals a large sum of money. With the help of a gang of thieves, he sets out to become the Shiranui Kengyô himself.
