Michael Laszlo, who emigrated to America after World War II, is accused of committing war crimes. His daughter, a lawyer, looks for proof of her father's innocence, but when he unravels his past, it seems that it is a different person. She becomes confused and more and more controlled by the thought that her father might indeed be guilty.
