Carny plot

"When you're young and going nowhere... the Carny looks like a good way out."

At the annual carnival, 18-year-old Donna meets fairground patrons Frankie and Patch. The two earn their money with their 'Drop Bozo' attraction, where people can drop Frank into the water by throwing balls at him. Donna works as a waitress during the day, but is more than tired of her boring job. On a whim, she decides to travel with Frank and Patch to the South.
