Education Education plot

Every year, nine million Chinese young people try to be placed in a university. The best are admitted to the top universities, with a view to a bright future. The rest have to manage with the supply of private institutes. How wild things get there is painfully made clear in this documentary. Director Chen Weijun closely follows three young people: the high school student Wang Pan, whose score is too low to qualify for a good university and who is considering her future; Wan Chao, a recent graduate who is looking for a job and discovers that he is not sufficiently equipped for the labor market; and Wang Zhenxiang, who travels the Chinese countryside to recruit potential students for a rogue university using smooth talk and lying powerpoints...
