After struggling with financiers for many years, Orson Welles released 'Othello' in 1952. Twenty-five years later, he decided to make a documentary for German television about the making of this Shakespeare film. In the resulting documentary, 'Filming Othello', he candidly talks about the financial difficulties and talks about his artistic choices when making the film.
