The Treasure of Swamp Castle plot
During the siege of the Turks, Passover has to hide his treasure. The son of his good friend leaves little Sofia in a rush basket and grows up with gypsies himself. Later, when he wants to claim his estate, he gets help only from an old woman whose cat and resident girl is named Szaffi. The 'gypsy baron' does not know that the girl is his Sofia.
