Miyamoto Musashi plot

This is the first of five films about the life of the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi. Two survivors of the battle of Sekigahara try to find refuge. The two childhood friends Takezo and Matahachi manage to get away. They are helped in this by a mother and daughter who steal and sell weapons and armor from the dead in order to earn money. When bandits want to rob the woman, Takezo intervenes. When Takezo then wants to go back to his hometown, he is hunted by the Tokugawa troops.
