The film Thank you very much, mister van Veen by Jorien van Nes is about the relationship between Wim van Veen and the Iranian family Mirza Hassan. Wim belongs to the kind of care providers with the endless breath: he wants to continue to help, no matter what happens. Opposite this is the Mirza Hassan family, which has an even longer breath. In vain they continue to search for their happiness. Financially supported by well-meaning aid workers, they embark on adventures that might have been better spared.
