3 Steps to the Gallows plot

American Gregor Stevens arrives in London to search for his missing brother Larry. Gregor doesn't know that Larry has been convicted of murder and that he will be executed in three days. In a nightclub Gregor meets the singer Yvonne Durante, who earns some extra money with diamond smuggling. Yvonne, in love with Gregor, helps him prove the innocence of his now traced brother. This is not without risk for Yvonne, because she can expect reprisals from her smuggler gang.
