Michael "The Lone Wolf" Laynard, a former criminal, is now a private investigator. During World War II, The Lone Wolf travels to Alexandria, Egypt with his loyal assistant Llewellyn Jamison. The Lone Wolf goes there to work as an unofficial spy agent for the Allies. They both have to deal with the shadowy cafe owner Johnny Booth and the seductive secret agent Valerie King, who poses as a journalist. Before long, Nazi spies threaten to kill Jamison if The Lone Wolf doesn't steal valuable military documents for them from the British embassy so they can take control of the Suez Canal.
