OK.

Still, this is a reasonable animation film, which does its best to be original. Strangely enough, despite the somewhat childish humor, I found the slapstick humor surprisingly nice and I had to laugh.

I don't dare to admit it, but this children's film has managed to captivate me. The idea is quite nice, if a bit far-fetched. Alec Baldwin is nicely cast, but of course the realism is gone with such a voice for a baby.

For the rest, the film neatly follows the formula. The story is therefore already quite predictable and we have actually seen it in every other children's film. That doesn't make it any less entertaining, by the way, and the film still gets a pass.

Watched this once and was pleasantly surprised by this film. It wasn't quite the story I expected, it was better. I thought it was original.

Also the voices were good and visually it was also good.

Furthermore, the playing time was good, I was not bored with it.

Better than expected.

Too much forced humor, a weak story and a very good ending characterize this animation film, despite the funny prologue. After a bird's-eye view of the first seven years of Tim [Miles Bakshi]'s life, we see how the Boss Baby [Alec Baldwin] is produced in a baby factory into a cunning businessman (including three-piece suit and attaché case) in a baby body. The baby demands all the attention (literally and figuratively) from the moment he arrives, so Tim decides to compete with his very young brother. Until it turns out that the brothers have a common enemy: Francis Francis [Steve Buscemi], who hopes to make the lives of all children with his ultra-cute puppies.

Between the bland and overly random jokes, there are now and then some very strong moments. Attempting to get backstage at a convention through a puppy entrance is hilarious, and the help of Boss Baby's henchmen also yields witty moments. The tempo is good and the voice performances are fine, but this is nothing more than a superficial time waster.
