I Sovversivi plot
Palmiero Togliatti, the leader of the Italian communists, is dead. The old communist ideal seems to have died with him. Revolution gives way to much more moderate and realistic ideas. A woman who has an affair with her husband's former mistress, a Venezuelan revolutionary who abandons his wealthy Italian girlfriend for his ideals, and a film director who discovers that he is seriously ill, appears to be influenced by Togliatti's death.
