In the late 21st century, a new MRI scanner is put into use at the National Research Institute of the Police. The machine can even scan the memories of the dead. While ethical discussions over the use of the machine erupt, rookie Ikko Aoki and Inspector Tsuyoshi Maki try to solve tricky cases.
