April Showers plot

"In an instant, their world changed forever."

Shortly after it has been turned upside down, teachers and students try to make sense of their life world in an average suburb. While the locals and even the entire country are gripped by the incident, the students at Jefferson High turn to each other for support. In the aftermath of the atrocities, the irritation caused by the erroneous reporting of the unhinged media is difficult to process. In a setting where a sympathetic residential area has turned into a media frenzy, Sean struggles with the loss of his girlfriend April.

Film uses the massacre from 1999, the film appealed to me and is very good at times and the makers know how to convey the fear of the students, highly recommended The Columbine High School massacre occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 1999 , at Columbine High School in Columbine, an unincorporated area in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States, near Denver and Littleton. Two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, embarked on a massacre, killing 12 students and a teacher, injured 21 others, while 3 were injured while attempting to escape, before committing suicide. It is the fourth-deadliest school massacre in United States history, after the 1927 Bath School disaster, 2007 Virginia Tech massacre and the 1966 University of Texas massacre, and the deadliest for an American high school.

The massacre provoked debate regarding gun control laws, the availability of firearms in the United States, and gun violence involving youths. Much discussion also centered on the nature of high school cliques, subcultures and bullying, as well as the role of violent movies and video games in American society. The shooting also resulted in an increased emphasis on school security, and a moral panic aimed at goth culture, social outcasts, the gun culture, the use of pharmaceutical anti-depressants by teenagers, violent films and music, teenage internet use,[1] and violent video games.[2][3]

The “Second Amendment” to the US Constitution, which gives people the right to own firearms, dates back to a time (late 18th century) when guns were thought to be necessary for self-defense and defending the state. Nowhere in the world is gun ownership as widespread as in the United States. Nowhere else in the world do massacres occur with the regularity of a clock as often as there, often in schools and universities. This film draws attention to the mental struggle that survivors of such a massacre are confronted with. You wish politicians would finally dare to stand up and take the initiative to remove that archaic Second Amendment from the Constitution.
