"Run for your life"
John Lake is an American physician who works as a volunteer in northern Laos. While enjoying a short vacation in the south, he witnesses a sexual assault on a young woman, intervenes and injures the attacker. When the perpetrator's body is found in the Mekong River and the police suspect him of being his accomplice, the situation threatens to get out of hand. John runs away.
