Svengali plot

"He hypnotizes! He thrills...! Any woman caught in his spell must obey."

The sinister music phenomenon Svengali can influence women's behavior through hypnosis and telepathic powers. He falls for the young Trilby, but she in turn falls for someone else. Then, of course, Svengali decides to influence her in such a way that she pretends to commit suicide and everyone will forget her. In the meantime, he also turns her into a great singer, whose career reaches Europe after a while.
