Crime thriller that starts off okay but ends stronger. In the beginning, some things are a bit too obvious in terms of settling; why rent out a room if you clearly cannot tolerate any activity around you, the lady who is just too irritatingly blunt towards the protagonist, the just too cliché man-is-sad-because-wife-and-daughter-lost and -yeah Come on, just stick a camera straight through the wall to the neighbors. But the imaging is nice and the sound is played artfully in transition scenes.

Gradually you accept the setting, you get into the story and you go along with the protagonist. The fairly absent tension - it is just too much of a narrative - is built up. Look past the implausibilities a bit and it's a great picture. The ending is well put together, where everything seems to find its place. Seen better Spanish-language films, but nice for once. A 6.5.

Claustrophobic thriller with a good portion of heavy violence that initially feels a bit light-hearted and comical with the pushy Berta, the mysterious daughter and also with the strange activities of Joaquin, who soon turns out to be not the best.

However, the film systematically gains in tension and finally ends in a surprising and action-packed finale.

Quite enjoyable to follow because along the way you have no idea how things will end with those three in the foreground, burglars, etc...

Good mise en scene, certainly, and decent acting.

Certainly not bad, but of course completely unbelievable, but I still enjoyed watching it. And not just because of Clara Lago, even though that is already a reason to watch. This afternoon I watched the film La Cara Oculta, also with Lago, but I thought it was slightly better...
