Cézanne et Moi plot
They loved each other as people love each other at thirteen: rebellions, curiosity, hopes, doubts, girls, dreams of fame, they shared everything. Paul is rich. Emile is poor. They leave Aix and move to Paris. They permeate the intimacy of Montmartre and the Batignolles. They both visit the same places, sleep with the same women, spit on the citizens who are well, bathe naked, are sometimes very hungry and then eat too much, drink absinthe, draw models during the day that they caress at night and travel thirty hours with watch the train for a sunset... Today Paul is a painter. Emile is a writer. The credit has passed to Paul: he had little success. Emile, on the other hand, has it all: fame, money and a perfect woman that Paul once loved too. They express their opinions about each other, admire each other and compete. Then they lose sight of each other and then find each other again, like a couple where love never disappears.
