The Gardener plot
When detective Iris disappears without a trace overnight, her partner Kelly sets out to investigate. The trail leads to Ben Carter, a lonely man who grows the most beautiful flowers in his garden. Carter looks twice his age because of his illness, which means that he never had a chance with Betsy, the girl at school he was in love with. Now, twenty years later, he has given up on his dream of falling in love again, his desire to meet the true and perfect woman for something much better... When Kelly finally charges Ben with murder, she uncovers a sinister conspiracy.
