Southside 1-1000 plot

The US Secret Service tracks a gang of counterfeiters in Los Angeles, whose engraver secretly makes the etchings in the San Quentin prison. Federal agent John Riggs goes incognito as Eastern Bloc contact Nick Starnes. During the investigation, he meets the attractive hotel owner Nora Craig and falls in love with her. He buys more than enough coins from the counterfeiters to use the bills as evidence against the gang.
