To Be Fat like Me plot

Handsome and athletic college student Aly hoped for a softball scholarship to get into college, but a knee injury ruins her dreams. She decides to enter a documentary competition in hopes of winning the top prize to pay for her studies. Believing that overweight people, like her mother and her brother, keep hiding behind excuses about how the environment judges them, she decides to take classes at a nearby school as an obese person for the documentary. Aly hopes this proves that a radiant personality will surpass her physical appearance, but she faces only ridicule and is bullied from day one. Gradually she begins to see that she was dealing with the overweight of her mother and her brother.
