"Trapped! Tricked! and Treacherous!"
Drifter David Cummings is released from prison by attorney Philip Cagle, who needs him to assume the identity of a missing millionaire, whose presence is necessary for the distribution of $3 million in real estate. Cagle thus misleads the missing man's wife, his brother and the woman's brother. After the division of the property, Cagle plans to get rid of Cummings, who finds that "his millionaire family" hates him, and isn't alone in doing so.
