The Memory Keeper's Daughter plot

Nora Henry is the wife of Doctor David who gives birth to twins one night. The son is healthy, but the daughter turns out to have Down syndrome. Afraid that Nora cannot bear this, he immediately surrenders the daughter to Sister Caroline. Meanwhile, he lies to Nora that the girl turned out to be a stillbirth.
