Zigeunermuziek Doet Pijn plot

Eating, sleeping and music. That was the life of violinist Nello Mirando as a child. His father, the famous Tata Mirando, sometimes locked his son in his room. Little Nello had to practice, who at the age of three was the youngest violinist in the Netherlands. At the beginning of the film, Nello feels old and depressed. Due to a congenital spinal cord disorder, he only plays with two and a half fingers. He is addicted to his violin, so he continues, but he no longer enjoys the performances. Actually, he says with a pained look, he's always been lonely. After a successful operation, however, he is a different, much happier person. In this captivating portrait, Nello Mirando exposes herself completely. Both making music and storytelling. "When he plays, he tells a story," says his proud father. Nello talks lyrically about all his passions: music, cycling and cooking. The virtuoso will never deny his gypsy descent, even if he now lives in an Amsterdam apartment.
