Le Diable Boîteux plot
A film about the life of the famous but mysterious French diplomat Talleyrand (1754-1838). In his childhood he had an accident that disfigured his foot, later he entered the priesthood and even became a bishop. It goes on to tell of his disengagement, his success with the beautiful women, his conspiracy mania, his betrayal that he actually committed only to serve France, and finally the alliance with England, shortly before his death.
